A reference list of Malaysian (Malay) words and Sumaya-specific game terms.
Malaysian words
These come from everyday Malaysian/Malay vocabulary. You'll see them throughout the game.

| Ringgit | The Malaysian currency (real-world: MYR). | Sumaya's in-game currency. Abbreviated SR in the UI (Sumaya Ringgit). |
| Bomba | Fire brigade (from the Portuguese-origin Malay). | One of the emergency-service teams - firefighters. |
| Kesihatan | Health / medical. | The medical / paramedic emergency-service team. |
| Polis | Police. | The law-enforcement emergency-service team. Abbreviated POLIS. |
| Jom | "Let's go" (informal). | The button to enter the world from the main menu. |
| Daerah | District / region. | Regions of Sumaya's map. |
| Mamak | Indian-Muslim restaurant, a Malaysian institution. | One of the two service-sector venues (the other being fast food). |
| Kedai | Shop / store. | Generic shop signage. |
| Kampung | Village. | Residential neighborhoods in Sumaya; also the name for the traditional stilted wooden house template ("Bornean" houses are kampung-style). |
| Pasaram | Market / bazaar. | Marketplace location. |
| Abang Samseng | "Gangster brother" - a street tough, petty criminal. | Crime-quest NPCs you talk to when starting illegal work (e.g. animal trafficking). |
| Sadaqa | Charitable giving / almsgiving (from Arabic, widely used in Malay). | Label on the player-to-player donation prompt on the Wallet tool. |
| Nelayan | Fisherman. | "Nelayan Sdn. Bhd." is the fishing-career paycheck provider (meaning "Fisherman Co. Ltd."). |
| Sdn. Bhd. | Abbreviation for "Sendirian Berhad" - the Malaysian equivalent of "Ltd." or "Pte Ltd". | Appears on paycheck notifications. |
| Jabatan | Department / authority. | Used in the real-world rank titles e.g. "Bomba MYSverse" (Fire and Rescue Department). |
| Kementerian | Ministry. | "KKN" stands for Kementerian Kesihatan Nasional - the ambulance insignia on Kesihatan vehicles. |
| Jalan | Road / street. | Appears in street names like "Jalan Triden", "Jalan Bawang". |
| Lorong | Lane / alley. | Smaller streets like "Lorong Pais", "Lorong Kicai". |

Game-specific terms
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| SR | Sumaya Ringgit - the in-game currency abbreviation. Same as "Ringgit". |
| Wallet | Your immediately-accessible cash. Can be stolen via pickpocket. |
| Bank | Your secure savings. Cannot be pickpocketed. Accessed via ATM. |
| Offence points | Points that accumulate from crimes. Total determines your wanted stars. |
| Wanted stars | Your criminal status, 1 to 5. Higher = more severe. |
| Wanted decay | Losing all your offence points by committing no new crimes for 5 minutes. |
| Passive mode | A toggleable state where you can't be damaged and can't commit crimes. |
| Passive lock | A temporary disable on passive-mode toggling, applied after certain offences. |
| LTAA | "Leave To Avoid Arrest" - the extra jail time you get for logging out mid-offence. |
| Team | Your role (Visitors, Malaysians, POLIS, BOMBA, Kesihatan). |
| Sector | A job type: Fishing, Service, Agro, Bomba, Polis, Kesihatan. |
| Rank | Your prestige title within a sector (e.g. "Fire Officer"). Cosmetic only. |
| Token | Internal name for a sector (e.g. "Token_Bomba"). You rarely see this in-game. |
| Plot | A piece of land in a neighborhood where you can build a house. One per player. |
| Tier (house) | House quality level: Tier 1 (cheap), Tier 2 (mid), Tier 3 (premium). |
| Tier (trawler) | Fishing boat quality: Tier 1 (free), Tier 2 (25k), Tier 3 (37k). |
| ELS | Emergency Lighting System - the lights and siren on emergency vehicles. |
| LFRT | Light Fire Rescue Tender - smaller fire truck. |
| FRT | Fire Rescue Tender - heavier fire truck. |
| MPV | Multi-Purpose Vehicle - the body style of some police cars. |
| MDT | Mobile Data Terminal - the police/emergency dispatch app on your phone. |
| 999 | Malaysian emergency services phone number (like 911 or 999 in the UK). Civilians dial it in the Emergency999 app. |
| Minimap | The top-right HUD map showing your area. |
| Task card | The top-left HUD panel showing your current objective. |
| Waypoint | A marked location on the minimap. Can be game-set (quest, MDT call) or custom (long-press to place). |
| Guidance beam | The colored 3D beam pointing from your character to your active waypoint. |
| Stud | Roblox's unit of distance. Roughly 1 foot / 30 cm. |
| KKN | Kementerian Kesihatan Nasional - National Ministry of Health. Seen on ambulances. |
| Slim Jim | A tool used for carjacking. One-use. |
| Pickpocket Knife | A tool used for pickpocketing players. |
| Stolen plate | A vehicle's plate is flagged when carjacked. POLIS can look up plates via the MDT. |
| Paycheck | End-of-shift Ringgit payout from a career, delivered with a notification. |
| Injury system | The medical mechanic that lets players suffer non-lethal injuries requiring Kesihatan treatment. When active, gives everyone +15% player-XP. |
| TBI | Traumatic Brain Injury - the most serious injury type, requiring bed rest. |
| Drop-off zone | Location where a carjacker delivers a stolen vehicle to sell, or where animal traffickers deliver their illegal goods. |
| Nearby officer bonus | 50% of an arrest's reward given to any POLIS player within 50 studs of the arresting officer. |
