Getting Started
Bandaraya is a Malaysian city roleplay experience on Roblox, set in Kuala Lumpur. You join a team representing a real Malaysian organisation — police, fire, health, military, transport, civilian, royalty — and live life in the city. Drive, work, arrest, rescue, take the MRT, order from a mamak, sit in traffic. Your choice.
The in-game currency is BR (Bandar Ringgit). All prices in this wiki are in BR unless labelled otherwise (R$ = Robux).
What you can do
- Pick a role. Civilian, police (POLIS), firefighter (BOMBA), doctor (KKM), soldier (MAF), bus driver, taxi driver, postie, tower. Every team has its own tools, vehicles, and stories.
- Work for money. Deliver mail (POS), drive a taxi, tow illegally-parked cars, drive a bus route — or climb the police ranks and keep the city safe.
- Drive. 200+ vehicles across 25+ organisations — Proton, Perodua, Toyota, Honda, BMW, and Malaysia-specific emergency fleets.
- Get around. Board a bus (sit, automatic fare), fast-travel via MRT Kajang Line or KL Monorail, or drive through TapNGo toll gates.
- Buy a car. Visit the Classic Car Dealer, pick a model, choose a colour, buy or rent, and it's saved to your account.
- Use the CAG card. Bandaraya's take on Touch n Go — one card for buses, MRT, and tolls, with a monthly pass option.
- Respond to emergencies. Real fire incidents, real calls, real patients.
- Get arrested (try not to). POLIS will detain, cuff, and arrest you. There's a 3-minute cool-off, then you're back out.
- Shop. Food, clothes, tools, even a black market. Guns need a Firearms Licence gamepass.
- Roleplay. The game rewards staying in character.
The setting
Bandaraya is an in-game section of Kuala Lumpur. You'll recognise real landmarks — Maxis Tower, Grand Hyatt, Public Bank, the PETRONAS area, Ampang Park, Bukit Bintang, and a fleshed-out MRT/Monorail network with stations at real KL locations (Conlay, Persiaran KLCC, Ampang Park; Bukit Bintang, Raja Chulan, Bukit Nanas).
The teams are real Malaysian institutions: POLIS, BOMBA, KKM, SJAM, RELA, MAF, KPTD. The transit card — CAG — is Bandaraya's Touch n Go analogue, down to debt on empty cards, monthly passes, and collectible designs tied to Deepavali, Merdeka, and Raya.
Not sure what an acronym means? The glossary has every one of them.
Who runs this
- Main group: MYSverse (1143446)
- Built by: the developer group at MYSverse
- Currency: BR (Bandar Ringgit), earned in-game, top-up-able with Robux via developer products
Your first ten minutes
From "I just clicked play" to "I'm driving a car around KL."
TL;DR
- Pick Visitors or Malaysians at the team menu. You can switch later.
- Spawn in. Look around.
- Open your map with the map button (it's on the right side of the topbar).
- Need cash? Try Postal Service or Taxi Driver.
- Want to ride MRT or a bus? Read Getting Around.
- Want to be a police officer? You'll need to join the POLIS group.
Step 1 — Team selection menu

When you join, the team menu opens automatically. Browse the carousel.
- Visitors (Bright green) — open to everyone, no requirements. Civilian life.
- Malaysians (Bright yellow) — requires joining the main MYSverse group (free). The "proper" civilian team.
Click Play to spawn.
Teams for police, fire, military, etc. require group membership or a gamepass. See Teams for the full list and how to qualify.
Step 2 — Your first spawn
You'll appear at a team-appropriate spawn location. Look around. You have:
- A backpack with any tools your team gets by default (civilians get none).
- A wallet (BR) — starts at 0 unless you've played before. Open it with the standard Roblox inventory button.
- A minimap (bottom-right by default, plus a full map toggle).
- A topbar with icons for map, phone, and any team-specific gadgets.

Step 3 — Move around
- WASD — walk.
- Hold Shift — sprint (faster; slower if you're injured).
- Space — jump.
- E (or tap on touch) — interact with a proximity prompt (doors, kiosks, signs, buttons).
Step 4 — Try something
Pick one:
Drive a car

- Find a spawner — dealership is at Classic Car Dealer, civilian rentals start there too.
- Interact, pick a vehicle, and use the on-screen buttons (or A/D + Space) to spawn.
- Sit in the driver seat. Drive with W / A / S / D. F1 toggles mouse steering.
- Fuel matters — visit Radtrol Gas Station @ Jalan Pinang or a charging station if you run low. See Vehicles.
Ride the MRT or a bus
- Walk to a station (Conlay, Persiaran KLCC, Ampang Park on the MRT; Bukit Bintang, Raja Chulan, Bukit Nanas on the Monorail).
- The fast-travel panel opens. Pick where to go. Pay with BR (or CAG card — cheaper).
- For buses, walk onto a tagged bus, sit in a passenger seat, and a fare is charged automatically.
- Details in Getting Around.
Take a job

- See Jobs.
- Postal Service (POS) is the most newbie-friendly — reliable BR, no setup.
- Taxi Driver pays per trip but needs a gamepass or the Taxi Services team.
Just vibe
- Walk around KL. Stop at the mamak. Watch an arrest go down. Take a selfie with the Twin Towers.
Step 5 — Dying, resetting, rejoining
- Reset button works — unless your health drops to 75 or below, in which case it's greyed out. This is intentional, to stop people resetting to avoid arrest (RTAA). See Arrest & Law.
- If you're downed but not dead, a medic (KKM or SJAM) can pick you back up. You have a 5-minute bleedout window when KKM or SJAM are online.
- When you die, you respawn at your team's spawn point after a short fade-to-black.
- Disconnecting while detained? That's LTAA — you'll be auto-arrested for 3 minutes on rejoin. See Arrest & Law.
Step 6 — Your first 10 minutes checklist

- [ ] Drove a vehicle (any vehicle)

Tips & gotchas
- Team colours matter. Your team's
TeamColorcontrols which spawners you can use, which tools you're given, and which tablet apps you see. - Teams come and go. A team with no players is automatically removed from the team list (except Visitors, Malaysians, and Arrested). Don't worry if a team disappears — it's back when someone joins.
- Don't reset when injured. It's disabled for your own good (anti-RTAA), and it stops you cheating out of arrest.
- Use the CAG card. If you'll use public transport more than a handful of times, it's worth the 100 BR.
- Read the rules. See Rules.
